Reblog on my site dathaoqutrn.com Thanks Ashley.
Thank you 🙋♂️
Winter walks are invigorating especially when you have a bright fire in the grate waiting…
Thank you, Joanna! Being out in the fresh air helps me to see things differently! 💖🌹💐🙋♂️
Hi Ashley, This is excellent. Have a great rest of your weekend.
Thanks, Mark, for your encouraging comment. Being retired, all days feel like weekends 😊🙋♂️
Those long shadows are still inviting. 🍁🍂🌾
Dear Gail, there you are, I thought I’d lost you, again! Thank you for visiting my blog 🌹💐😊🙋♂️
I wonder why your computer doesn’t like me. Is it jealous?! 🤣 So glad to see you again. 👀🍃
I love your hokku, Ash-tree-sama. Most people, today, don’t get out much, don’t take walks, and thus, they don’t realize that the shadows are getting longer, as the days get shorter. They don’t realize that it’s getting colder each day, because we are tilting away from the sun and its warmth, with each day. Of course, midwinter (the solstice) will change all that. Keep walking, Ash!! Btw, those look like ash leaves on the path. I’m glad you have this blog, so that I can read your beautiful haibun/hokbun.
Hi Edo, great to hear from you, my hokku friend. They are indeed ash leaves, well spotted! Of course, with November comes reflection! The long shadows remind me of all those who have passed away, friends, relatives and of course, whether you agree or not about the causes, all those who died in the wars! 🙋♂️🙏
It makes me wonder what’s around the bend.
Good to hear from you, Chris! Up ahead there is a beef farm then I turn the corner and head home! 🙋♂️
A lovely image and I love the tranquillity of the poem.
Thanks, Andrea for your visit and for such a lovely comment 💐🙋♂️
And a time of dreaming of a new year. I wish 2022 will be better than the previous two years.
Oh, I hope so too! Have a great week 💐🙋♂️
Winter ain’t here yet, but I can imagine it’s just around the bend in the road in that photo!
Haha, Mr.M. Around that bend is the yard of a beef cattle farm and then it’s the turning for heading home! 🙋♂️
Oh, beautifully said, Ashley and perfect shot for those words!
Marina, thank you for your lovely comment. The weather has been good over the last few days and it’s great to be outdoors! 💐🙋♂️
I hope it continues to do so! 😉
Thank you, Ashley, for the beautiful poem (hokku) and autumn picture. 🍂
Happy Monday and autumn-winter time.
Dear Marina, it’s lovely to hear from you, I hope you are keeping well and finding more stairs to run up and down! Have a great week 💐🙋♂️
That looks like a wonderful place for a leisurely walk – beautiful picture Ashley!
Thank you, Meg, it’s a regular walk for me, often at a pace with my head down, but I do enjoy a slower more meditative walk too! 💐🙋♂️
I don’t know why but I can see the cold in this photo. Haha.
It wasn’t cold on that day, fresh yes, but today it is definitely cold. The wind has turned around and it’s coming from the north! Brrrrr! Hope you’ve bought a warm coat; ready for the cold? 😊🙋♂️
I feel anxiety seeing the numbers on the temperature go. Haha. The lowest we see here is 2 C so far. Help.
Oh how I love tree-lined country lanes! Your verse is sweet and gentle. Thank you for pouring your love onto the page, Ashley! 🌞
Dear Lisa, thank you, what a wonderful thing to say 🌹💖🙋♂️
Thank you 🙋♂️
This is a wonderful poem full of atmosphere, Ashley. I love those quiet, calm days in november when the autumn sun casts long shadows. There is a very special atmosphere and a very special smell of wetness, earth and moss that is only found in these late days of the year.
Oh… I love our planet!
Ashley, I wish you all the best! 🌹💖
Rosie from germany
Thank you, Rosie, it is a wonderful season. Like you, I love the smell of the wet leaves, the damp ground and the feeling of things returning to the earth. Have a beautiful week. Keep well and stay safe 🤗🌹🙋♂️
Ashley, I wish you the same. Have a nice day 🍂 🍁!
Your image of the road curving around the corner, and the long shadows pointing the way are so inviting… It beckons one to explore whats around the corner. I hope your winter is nurturing time for you and your family 💖🙋♀️🌹
Thank you, Morag, perhaps one day soon you will also have a lane like this one, close by, where you can walk quietly with the sun on your back. 🌹😊🙋♂️
Yes 🤩I do hope so😁
New year’s coming , thanks for the beautiful words Sis ❤️
Thank you for visiting my blog. Just one thing, that should be Bro 😎🙋♂️
You are always welcome, correction taken BRO☺️, just one thing is Ashley a unisex name?
It’s been my name for over 70 years now! 🙋♂️
Your path looks a lot like the path here outside my house. It is very nice to see the colored leaves. I don’t like winter because it strips the trees and it’s always gray and sad. I prefer the sun and colored flowers. If I could eliminate winter I would. I only love snow when it falls because it makes everything magical. But driving in snow is terrible.
Thank you for your comments. We get a lot of rain here rather than snow but winter is a time for seeds (of ideas) to be nurtured ready to burst into life in the spring 🌹🤗🙋♂️
I thank you very much for staying here and talking to me. 💜💙💚💛🧡❤
Thank you, Ashey. for your wonderful comments every week!
And thank you, Joanna, for publishing your own fascinating posts 💐🙋♂️
