  1. Wow… It’s fascinating that in your part of the earth things are melting and flooding? Is it spring there? Here in my part of Canada we are (hopefully not), entering the coldest part of the year. January and February are usually the coldest months of the year, with temperatures ranging from -20 (warm) to -47 (very cold) Celsius. This is also the times of the most snow storms and the most times that school is canceled because of cold weather. (If the cold prevents the cars and buses from starting school is canceled). Sometimes we are spared this deep freeze and the weather stays between -20 and -25. I really hope this winter will be one of them.

Yesterday I took a picture outside my window, just to show you the snow and frost. I’ll send it to you in an email later.

    1. Dear Miss πŸ€—, thank you for your very informative comments. It is not yet spring here, although that period approaches fast. According to the traditional Celtic cycle IMBOLC or Candlemas (beginning of February) is when the earth begins to awaken. Whilst spring develops we can still have snow and ice but nothing like your temperatures! I look forward to your email πŸ’ŒπŸŒΉπŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ

    1. Dear Indira, thank you for your lovely comment. The water levels have receded but it is still very damp underfoot. Thank you for visiting my blog πŸŒΉπŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ

  2. We’ve got so much water right now it feels both a blessing and a bit scary! Yes, indeed, the Earth is awakening. I’m looking forward to the wildflowers in the Spring!

    1. Dear Bridgette, thank you for visiting my blog. Here in NI where I live many of the fields are still flooded but the levels are falling for now. I’ve no doubt they will flood again as the weather systems roll in from the west (the Atlantic). More changes will come as we move into February (Imbolc) and the spring develops. πŸŒΉπŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ

    1. Thank you, Barbara, and in a few weeks time at the beginning of February it will be Candlemas or Imbolc, a time when some believe that spring begins. πŸŒΉπŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ

      1. Nice! So far this month, my area has had the 4th snowiest January on record! And we’re expecting up to 7 more inches tonight & tomorrow! It’s beautiful but the sun is not melting it as quickly as usual, so we’re running out of places to put it all! 🌞
