The second day of May and some of the hawthorn flowers are opening. With only a gentle breeze on this mornings walk, the scent from the flowers is lovely; the sweet perfume of May.

Because there was only a little wind and the sun was out even the scent of those few flowers was delicious! I wish I could bottle it! 🙋♂️

A tree that lives up to its name Ashley…. We call him the “Meidoorn” in dutch (this translates in “Mai Thorn”)
