Steady, soft rain has persisted for most of the day, and whilst the sky is overcast and grey, the increased light of this month enters my eyes to bathe and lift my spirits.

A dull day;
Rain doused, first flowers,
Open.

Thank you, Ashley, for the first sign of spring!
You haven’t told me which day March! My daughter was born on the 15 and the second one a year later on the 21, and she is Aries.
Joanna
Thank you, Joanna for visiting my blog. I did note the date on your blog but in case you missed it there, it’s Feb 25th. π€ππββοΈ
Crocuses are always a welcome sign, Ashely. Mine aren’t open yet, but the miniature daffodils are out at my doorstep.
Thanks, Michael for dropping by. I found some Muscari in full flower hidden under a shrub, but in the lanes I walk there are few signs of change. If it would stop raining I’d walk a bit further! πΆββοΈ
Yes, dreadful weather at the moment. I’ve not ventured out all week.
Lovely crocuses, flowers always lift our spirits specially so after Winter and in dull weather. I am with you there, they make me very happy.
Thank you, Ute. I think the grey skies actually lift the colours. π€πββοΈ
The idea of the sunlight entering your eyes to bathe your spirits is beautiful! I like the contrast in your hokku, the dull day is transformed with the coming of the crocuses in your garden! Beautiful words, ideas, and images, Fraxinusan! Keep moving!
Thanks, Edo-san, for your wonderful comments! For now, I wish the rain would stop! β
The dullness of the day is dispelled by the blooming flowers, isn’t it Ashley?!
I think a grey sky actually uplifts colours. Thank you, Indira. π€πββοΈ
Beautiful pics and haiku! LaMon
Thanks LaMon, for your lovely comment.
How nice to see them popping up Ashley, spring must be in the air π
Thanks, Rudi, fingers crossed we’ll see more flowers soon. πββοΈ
I always like their narrow green leaves best.
Hi Ruth, yes, first signs are always a joy. ππββοΈ
Ah, first flowers to brighten the dull day!
Happy Saturday, Ashley! πΌβ¨π
Thank you, Marina, happy weekend π€π·πΈπββοΈ

The plants rejoice with the rain π What beautiful flowers!
As long as it doesn’t last too long. I hope the floods have subsided where you are π€πΈπ·πββοΈ
We’re not done yet with the rains as another storm moved in on Sunday night and is expected to rain through Wednesday.
Now it is official – your most beautiful photos tell us: spring is the future ππΈπ·
Thanks, Friedrich, the flowers speak! π·πΈπββοΈ
Those first harbingers of spring’s arrival are so rejuvenating for the soul, Ashley. It’s impossible not to feel at least a little bit of hope. Always a delight to read your posts, my friend! Have a good weekend. π
Thank you, Mike, it’s always good to hear from you. Keep writing & have a wonderful weekend πΈπ·πββοΈ

Otro para ti!!!
Lovely signs of spring Ashley, I have some crocuses too in our front yard.
Thank you, Andrea, lovely to hear from you. Crocus’ are such bright garden gems. We need to plant more of them for next year. π€πββοΈ
Beautiful crocuses, Ashley! Incidentally spring started here on the day of Basant Panchami, which incidentally fell this year on the Valentine’s Day.
In the northern hemisphere spring must arrive earlier or later depending on where you live. Thank you, Kaushal, for visiting my post. πππ
Oh, so beautiful! I only sowed some seeds this week so I will not see results for some time. But I am looking forward to see some growth.
Thank you for visiting my blog. Perhaps we’ll see some pictures of your seeds when grown. πββοΈ
Yes, I will certainly add some pictures to my blog when the plants grow
WP says your blog has been deleted π€

Gradually (poco a poco) the days are getting longer and the season of color and flowers is approaching. Abrazo πΉπΌ
Thanks, Sabius. Changeable, that’s how I see it. This morning it’s cold & it’s raining & tomorrow???
Every new year I look forward to the first flowers. I love them all – the snowdrops, the winter aconites, the crocuses. It’s a pleasure to look at them.
Ashley, I wish you all the best….
Rosie
Isn’t it just the best time of year, even if we return to some cold weather for a spell? Thank you, Rosie for your visit here. π€πββοΈ

What lovely photos and haikus, Ashley! I imagine you can coax any stubborn plant to grow for you πΈβΊοΈ. And I’m loving the latest magic wands! π
Haha, Sunra I wish! Perhaps I should wave those wands over the garden & see if there is some magic in them. π¨βπ¦― oops, that’s blown it, that’s my walking stick π€£ Have a great weekend π€πββοΈ
