Thanks, Hedy, you too! 💚🙏
Thank you, Ashley, for such a beautiful picture and the little ditty that makes me happy!!
Buttercups make me smile. Thank you, Joanna! 💚🙏
Hi Ashley, Nice to hear from you again!
Many thanks for your visit, Mark! 🙏
Nice hokku with image of buttercups, on this summer day, close to the summer solstice or midsummer in 10 days! Stay cool, Fraxinus!
Yes, Edo, I’m also looking forward to the solstice. 😎
Thank you for the sunshine, my friend! 🙏🌼
Hi Marina, you must have much more sunshine than we do! Thanks for visiting 💚🙏
Well, actually, today it’s been raining, which was a nice break after a few days of temp rising.
My pleasure! It’s great to see you back! 🙏🌷
Ho beautiful, enjoy the sunshine and meadows. Have a great weekend!
Many thanks, Ute. Enjoy your weekend! 💚🙏
Yaaasssss, a post! I saw these flowers for the first time in Germany and have always wondered if I could eat them.
I think there are toxins in the flowers, certainly in the fresh flowers! Good to hear from you 💚🙏
I always think about this and hope there are more wild things that can be eaten easily. I get incredibly excited when someone says I can eat a leaf or a flower that is not the usual veg or fruit.
There seems to be a craze lately on these islands for foraging for “wild” food: books, courses etc. Maybe it is something you could check out online, locally? Good luck! Keep well and safe! 😋😘
Ashley! A new post, yippie! A field strewn with wildflowers is one of my favorite-ever sights. Thanks for sharing this with us! 🌞
My pleasure, Lisa! A couple of years ago there was an abundance of dandelions but this year it’s buttercups! 😊😎
Nice! Do they have a scent? If so, I’ll bet standing in that field is a real treat! 🌞
No scent just glorious colour!
Yes, a field of buttercups is very cheering, Ashley. I am noticing more wild flowers this year, possibly my imagination. I walked a meadow this week that was also painted red with sheep sorrel. I sneezed all the way home with the pollen, but it was worth it. ☺️👍
Thanks, Michael, me too, except that I’m not familiar with their names! I should have paid more attention when I was younger! (I’ve had a bit of bother with my computer lately and have lost my link to your blog; could you add it here? Many thanks)
Hi Ashley. I’m the same. I know a few of their names, and am learning more with the help of Google’s lens
You can find my blog here https://michaelgraeme.wordpress.com
Thanks, Michael 👍
What a nice surprise – an uplifting poem and picture to match.
Happy summer to you and yours.
Dear Marina, it is always good to hear from you! 🤗 I see you’ve been climbing mountains recently! All those staircases at home must have helped. 😊 Living in a bungalow is certainly doing us no good! You inspire me to start climbing. 😇
Beautiful buttercups! I don’t seem to see any here.
Thank you for dropping by 🌹🙋♂️
So beautiful, I can’t wait to see them with my own eyes 😊
Dear Morag, that will be a treat for you, next spring 😊🌹🙋♂️
Yes, indeed it will 😊🌺🙋♀️
